boost fooler/smoke switch question on 555
i have been reading up on the homemade boost foolers and smoke switches. basically im not quite understanding it all. my questions are...
1- what am i risking by putting on a boost fooler
2- i know quad makes one, but can you make a homemade fooler and how?
3- is there anyway to evade the overboost code with a homemade fooler?
4- how is the "smoke switch" mod different?
i am running the BD triple dog on a 555 with a 5" straight pipe and BHAF. thanks!

This came up a while back with someone doing the same. Boost fooler just clamps the voltage on the MAP sensor from exceeding the level that can trip the overboost code. I think that voltage range is somewhere around 4.1-4.2 volts.

Don't know about the smoke switch.
