As you can tell by my reported EGTs, thats not true. In fact, the stock turbo is efficient to about 36psi.

That's right, it was for anything over approx 35 psi where the turbo acts as a heater and having a neg impact on things. You also need some sort of boost fooling devise when you add an elbow or you will probably throw the overboost code.

Now I remember why I took mine off, I hit about 30psi with the stock elbow and when I had my edge elbow installed I would peg out my 35psi guage.

I have done so and tinkered around with different things. I've seen 1 (only one! and with the boost fooler) spike of 30... but other than that I've only seen the spike of 25-26 and steady boost of 22-23.

Have you tried clamping off the wastegate line? if so, then I would be questioning either the turbo, or a turbo leak. You may want to pull the turbo out and do an inspection to see if anything is wrong.

I have tried clamping the line... heck, I've plugged it too... I have inspected for leaks and found none. The turbo shaft is still pretty solid too. I am thinking it might be the waste gate blowing off early.

If you clamped it off, or plugged the line, this means you have isolated the wastegate from the system and any chance of it leaking off boost and if it still wouldn't produce boost, then there is something wrong with the turbo, you have a leak some where, or your boost gauge is bad.
