It's all a matter of opinion but; I have run a several sets of BFG MT's on lots of trucks over the years. When I bought my truck it came with Toyos so I figured I'd give them a try. THEY SUCK! I would never buy Toyos over BFG's. I replaced them as soon as I could afford it with BFG MT's . On my 97 diesel I got 40k on my BFG's before I sold the truck. That was two years ago and I still see the truck driving around with the same tires.
BFG all the way.

ive ran a couple sets of toyos and I like them. the only ones I havent tried is the open co. mt and I am thinking of getting a set for the winter. I sold me 285 at and I really wish I wouldnt have done that now. I dont care for the bfg tires because about every truck back in the day had them im just tired of looking at them. a local farmer keeps putting the bfgs on his dodge and he really uses the truck, he pulls all kinds of trailers, pushes snow and every time I see the truck his bfgs are bald. he puts new tires on it all the time

I kinda feel the same way. I have ran BFG mts and i liked em the only problem I have ever really had with the BFG muds or ats is simply that everybody and their brother has em.

WHat size "SUCKED"? I've had set"s", lot's of sets of both! Both are great tires for light terrain, but the Toyos WILL last longer if you copare the same sizes, the BFGs are two soft and on "deer leases" they do not last like the 4 sets of Toyos I've had. But what do I know, I've only had 4-5 sets of each

Stick with the BFG's. I have had better luck with them than the TOYO's I am running now. I will be lucky to get 35k out of them. I am very dissapointed in them. I have the 285 75r 17. Nice looking ,but not a high mileage tire.....

what load range are your tires? if you bought a C or D load range they arent going to last long on a 7k pound truck.

i have run both 315 bfg a/t and 325 toyo a/t. toyo's are kicking butt! the toyo's are a little more sticky on dry pavement and are wearing ALOT better too! when i first got my bfgs i could spin them going into 3rd (6spd) pretty good but with the toyos i have a hard time getting a chirp out of them. go with the toyo's, they will make you happy! i hear good thing about the toyo m/t also.

I have run both in the M/T, and the BFGs were better. There is nothing wrong with the Toyos, and they are both great tires. The Toyos look awesome but seem kinda trendy. If you like the looks and are willing to pay extra, then go with the Toyos. My next set will be BFGs.

I don't understand where this is going.........I heard this saying before, and now I am hooked on it. "Diffrent horses for diffrent courses."

My brother has a 05 Tahoe with a 6" lift and 35/12.50 BFG M/T's and likes them. Hell I like them. He has put around 55k on them, and they are wearing well. He can get probably 10k more. Also......his rating is "D"

I have had a set of 35/12.50 toyo m/t's on my old chevy, and I loved those also. Mine were "E" rated tires and I put around 50K before I sold my truck. I loved how the toyos were in the desert. They were great in the rain and snow also, and were not loud at all. You should not even worry about noise with the M/T's. They have a hum, but its nothing at all. I agree with the post earlier about the BFG's being a bit softer than the Toyo's.

Honestly, its all up to you, and what you prefer. My only recomendation is that you do not buy cheap tires. Either get an "E" or "D" rated tire, and make sure it has a high speed rating. Good luck.

Clear as 6K Mile 7.3 oil.

I think if I can swing it I'll just go back with Michelins like the ones just now about worn out on my 119+K '03!!! I've been stuck three times. All were with a trailer and spinning on top of mud. But that's in about 95K since I've been driving it so statistically it won't matter...
