Just wondering what is the loudest muffler that will get rid of the drown between 1500 and 2200 while towing. Ive got an old magnaflow muffler off my brothers 01 at the house, but i think it will make things to quiet any suggestions?

 

Oldsmokey, MBRP cool duals muffler or 27inch nelson or donaldson straight through. Exhaust tips significantly affect the sound as you can tell from all these ricers. ks

 

I have a 24" Magnaflow & it's loud with anything over 1/2 throttle. Lots of drone when towing, uphill, & 1/2+ throttle.

I've heard that you can eliminate the drone by installing a second, smaller, muffler in the exhaust system.

Since the drone is a rare occurrence, I have not corrected the problem.
