2 years ago, I needed an exhaust in a hurry, so I got what Napa had, which was a Walker 21131 muffler and tailpipe. The muffler has a huge body, but I think it is ridiculously loud inside the cab, especially with the exhaust brake, and I am sick of it. There are no exhaust leaks. Does anybody else have this muffler and find it to be loud? Could I get some 4" straight pipe from the factory resonator back, and possibly have it be quiteter? Thanks

 

i cut the factory muffler and resonator off mine and just replaced it with a straight pipe and have been very happy
under a very hard load it is loud but i nly notice the turbo whine more than the exhaust

 

Mine is stright pipe and I love it, however I have a Magnaflow muffler on my Power Joke and it is without a doubt one of the most quiet mufflers I have ever seen on a diesel.
