BD short shift question
BD short shift question
Alright, I've had it in for a couple of months, pretty much used to it, but here is one of my observations. When driving longer distances 5th gear seems harder to locate. Seems like it wants to engage 3rd instead. I pretty much have to bump it over rather than slide it over to 5th. Anyone else know what I'm taliking about?
Definitly, but I had to get used to letting the clutch that much quicker. I love it because my girl likes to sit in the middle by me and 6th gear is no longer a nuisance. You gain quicker shifts, but lose shift comfort in my opinion, because the pivot change makes it notchier. Overall, I like it alot, just gotta get used to the 5th gear issue.
Haloman, that's exactly what it feels like!

I pulled it out, put it in a vice, heated up the shaft and bent it to the left a couple inches. It didnt take much bending to get a lot of movement. I rebent mine a few times before I was happy with it. I think you will just have to mess with it for a bit to find your sweet spot. Im 6'6" so i have longer arms so what works for me might not be best for everyone.

I like mine and couldn't go back to the stocker, I am very happy with the $ I spent on it.
