Can anyone tell me whats better, the Banks Six Gun Diesel Tuner or the Edge Diesel Tuner?

 

Oh boy! You are trying to stir something up aren't you?!?!

It's really all in how you look at things. The Banks Six Gun is fairly new and there aren't really many results in yet. It also makes more power than the EZ box.
On the other hand, the EZ costs a lot less than the Six Gun. The EZ is adjustable but you have to open the hood and do it manually whereas the Six Gun can be done on the fly. Edge is working on the "Attitude" which will have many of the same features of the Six Gun but I don't think it will make as much power.

The best thing to do is scroll down the pages of the Performance section and look at all the posts on Edge EZ, Banks Six Gun, Ramifier, TST, Bully Dog, etc... You will find lots of opinions that will differ and you will have to come to your own conclusions.

Seems like I just posted on this. Having had both I really like the Six-Gun better. Not too much quicker, but the power down low is much better, it smokes less, and has lower EGT temps. I got the Big head with it and the speedloader. I also had the boost elbow on my old Edge Ez. Both max a little over 30 psi at 6000 ft elevation. My High-Ram is on the way too now. Maybe propane is next?

 

Yah, get the TST like my buddy did.... what a waste of money..... to get the performance out of it, you must rebuild tranny and add a beefier turbo.... thats if you can get it running without throwing up more codes than a sick daycare child with a nasty stomach virus!!!!

 

Both the Six-Gun and the EZ are very comparable in the lower rpms, but above the mid range the Six-Gun definately out performs the EZ.

 

I have the edge ez on my 600, it has a 3 way switch in the cab 20-40-70 hp works well so far. Joel

 

IMO the Banks Six Gun is the BOMB
It does exactly what they claim it will do. The power is great and my fuel milage has gone up 2-3 mpg. It holds the speed with the 5VR attached like you would not believe. At first I loose about 3-5 mph and then the tranny does it thing and the power starts to build and I'm passing everything going up the hill Awe the feeling, and the looks from all of those Ferds and Chuebbyies as I CRUZ right on by
