anyone install there probe from the bottom?
I called a place today to see if they install gauges, and they told me they did. he said they usually try to go in the manifold and drill it from the bottom on a lift. is he getting me confused with the fords or can this be done? I want mine done from the top of course between the 5th and 6th cylinder because its hottest (right??). He also said they usually follow the manufactuers instructions... does anyone know what Isspro states in there instructions on where to place the probe??
Thanks for the help,
Eric

Gague
I have the Di-Procal, and I put the probe in the top behind cylinders 1,2, and 3. I know the back 3 run hotter, but to chance drilling the hold wrong, or tapping, I just went there. It was the best for me. As for drilling on the underside?? That sounds really odd. Maybe your right with ford and chevy with them being v-8's they go from under??

The Fords are drilled from the bottom at least on the 7.3s. I thought the Dodges got drilled at the exit of the manifold. Anyone know what the temp difference is between drilling between cylinders or at the exit?
