Anyone with dueler at revos? I have a question?

Ok, I just had a set of dueler at revos put on and the truck rides much better and the wet traction is unreal compared to the rugged trails, but I have lost 1-1.5 mpg. No doubt about it. has anyone experienced the same?

is it just bad timing and something else is actually going on or is this possible? same size tire but they are softer and the tread is much more agressive than the rugged trails. Could this be the reason?

any comments would be appreciated. couldn't wait to get them on but man I don't need to lose mileage.

thanks

I have the revo AT's on my 3/4 ton..load range E.. and love them.No loss of mileage for me. Check your air pressure.. I run mine at 70lbs. when not towing.. they seem to be wearing excellently.

I am on my second set. I went from the stock michelins at's to the revos. Did not notice any mpg loss. My first set went 55k and if it wasnt october and winter right around the corner I would have left them on longer. My second set is now at about 60k and still going though they will need to be replaced soon. They are one of the best tires I have ever run. The only exception is in the mud. I also run them at about 65psi.

Thanks guys. I am thinking something else is going on. Maybe just a bad batch of fuel or soemthing else. I asked on another post because I have had some long starts lately also.

I agree on the tires. The ride is awesome and wet traction so far is a 100times better than those rugged trails. I will check the air pressure later today.

take care

me too!

I have the Revo's also, 265 75 16s, and YES, I do beleive that I lost approx 1 to 1.5 mpg. On stock (Original) tires I could get 19 to 20 mpg back and forth to work, week I put the Reveos on, my mileage dropped to around 17 to 18 mpg. All hand calced. I have not been able to find anything else to cause this. I really do like the tires though, nice aggresive tread, quite and good mileage from the tires. Working on 45K and plenty of tread left.

hey, Duane I appreciate the response. I know so many things could affect mileage but I am telling ya, I haven't changed a thing but the tires. I stopped at a local bridgestone place today and he told me that the only complaints they ever had about these tires were from people who really tracked the mpg's and they lost some. Oh well, maybe it is something else and if it isn't, i will live with it because the tires are great compared to the BFg's I had. I have also noticed that my boost is up a couple pounds for the same given speed which tells me I am using more fuel and it is probably because of the tires I am pushing now.

thanks again
