Talking New revos installed

Just had my new LT285 75 R16 Bridgestone Dueller Revo,s installed this morning.

No noticable power loss,
Wheel well to ground incresed 2 inches to 40inches
Wheel center to ground incresed 1 inch to 16 inches
No tire rub at full turn while up on curb
No noticable tire noise up to 100km/ph, 60 mi
Speedo out 5km at 80, and 10km at 100, as per GPS

Going to go out and play with them this afternoon, Will update how they do off road, if I can find some mud.

Wheel balance was not bad, about 5 ounces on two tires and 2.5 on the other two, I should have had them try rotating the tire on the rim, but they were quite busy.

I replaced the tie left and right tie rod, the track bar and the drag link before hand. Parts came to 650 cdn inc the 15% tax.

Tires came to 1150 Cdn with tax, balanced and installed with an 80 dollar alignment, i did not need.

I put the new parts on myself and measured with a tape, the toe on the front tires. I adjusted it to within 1/8 of an inch, figured the computerized machine would correct it anyway. And the alignment guy moved the adjustment sleave less than 1/4 of a turn. Not sure if the guy before me had ever replaced any steering components, but the tech said is was as close as the new trucks he has seen.

I will also post a pic when I get one.

Thanks to all the folks who posted tire and steering info here , It was big help deciding what to do with my crappy old tires and sloppy steering....

So you installed a 1" lift also?

No, i increased my tire size from bald 265 75 r16 firestones, I have a slide in camper currently on the truck as well.

I measured from ground to top of wheel well before and after the tire switch just to see how much of a change there was if any. Many times the printed tire size in the brochure is off from actual sizes.

I found out about the Revo's when researching tires for the wife's Expedition and found out pretty fast that EVERYONE who has had a set loves them.

We have had them on the Expy for a year now, and I just had some put on the mother-in-law's Explorer as well. VERY nice ride, quiet too considering the tread.

Not sure how they would do if you actually do any pulling or towing, so I doubt I will be putting them on my Dodge... but a great tire still!

But if wheel center to ground was 1" increase,
and wheel well to ground was 2" increase,
then wheel well to wheel center is 2-1=1" increase, right?
Tires wouldn't affect that measurement. I just figured maybe you forgot to mention putting in spacers or something...

I put the Revos on mine on Tuesday. So far I like the way my truck handles and rides. My last set, Les Schwab tires that were supposed to be their top tire, lasted about 21k and less then 2 years. So I am hoping to get a little better out of this set. Dealer gave me 30 days to try them out and if I don’t like them or hear too many horror stories about them I can take them back for a full credit.

It was a tough choice between the Revos or the BFGs A/T.
