Another performance box question
Good day everyone.
I’ve followed the performance box and module threads now for quite a while and have learned a ton of great information, much of it over my head though. I have just purchased the full compliment of gauges ( boost, pyro, tranny and fuel pressure) with the understanding that I will be getting some sort of a performance module in the near future.
The truck is an early 2003 SO Common rail . I pull an 11,000 lb 5th wheel amongst the mountain passes here in Colorado. I’m looking for a box that will get me some decent gains and allow me to tow safely without running the EGT’s too high while pulling.
One other thing, My friend just bought a 2005 PSD, we have the same 5th wheel and the wife wants to make sure we stay in front of him when we travel together… Gotta love that !!!!
So far, I think I am leaning towards a Van Aaken 3.1 box or a Predator Dr. performance stage 2 box. Since I’m a couple of months away from a purchase. I thought I would ask the experts what they think given my towing requirements.
Thanks,
Brett N Colorado

BNC04,
The van Aaken is 3 dimensional digitally fuel mapped and has the boost fooler to keep the trucks sensors happy, if for no other reason it would be the way to go. Plus you can add a pressure box later on the van Aaken if yoyu decide you need more HP at a later date. Call us igf you have any questions and we will be glad to help you.
