If you have say a 47 re auto what has to be done to it to use an exhaust brake?

All you really need is a torque convertor lockup device to achieve the most efficiency out of brake. BD diesel performance has the most advanced controller on the market it is called a Towloc it is designed to work with their brakes. You can call me if you need more specifics on it.
