Another fuel pump upgrade ? about AD.

Hey guys..

Im looking for some advice on which fuel pump i should run on my 2006.
As far as goals.. im looking to be around the 450-500hp range. I do NOT tow anything heavy.. Just a 20ft. boat and some four wheelers. I have a smarty pod right now and i do not run it higher than sw 3. And later i may stack it with a mp 8 or edge ez.

So im just lookin for what type of Airdog to go with and what do i need to tell the guy at the shop, what else i need, for him to get for the install. Like extra tubes, conectors, or filters? Any advice or info is greatly apprecitated.

Thanks DTR..

Well many will tell you the 150 or 165. I have the 100 and it has been more than sufficient for me. On top setting mine maintains 15psi regardless of conditions. If you don't really plan on more than 550 or so the 100 will be sufficient. But I guess if you think you may have intentions for more power than that then just do the 150 or 165.

will it be bad or is it not good to run the higher ones like 150 or 165 if you are not at 500hp or higher? If not then i will just opt for the 150 and be happy.

No it will not matter how big the system is, whatever the injector pump doesnt use goes back to the tank via return line.

The raptor is the AD pump alone, the AD kits are the AD100, 150, and 165 with water and air separation. The water and air separation are pretty beneficial.

I went with the AD-150. I like the idea of having MORE filtration, and I like the idea of having a little more fuel than just enough. You never know when you might decide to go for more power and it seems better to me to just have it rather than have to do it over again.

Ol cool so I'm pretty much set on the ad 150. Now us that all need to buy (kit) or is there more involved, like other things to purchase that doesn't come in the kit?
Also I plan to have the fuel and rail pressure gauges installed with this. And they will be mounted on the steering column. Is this a good idea? Well I kinda have no choice bc my a pillar is full. But has anyone else put
fuel through there?

Thanks guys

One more question...

I have my smarty in sw 3 and my boost gauge only hits about 30-32psi. I was under the impression that it re maps the ECM or something to allow up to 40 or so... Am I being limited by fuel? But anyway I'm getting the ad soon. But I'm just curious... And my egt s gets pretty hot too and fast so I back off, but it still never gets passed those numbers.

Thanks agian

The AD kit comes with everything you need to do a complete install. I had them include a couple more fittings so I could run it through my stock canister fuel filter. The more filtration the merrier.

I think a steering column mount would be a good place for fuel pressure and rail pressure gauges. It all has to suit you and no one else, part of that 'making it yours' stuff.
