Another Bullydog question

I recently purchased a Bullydog triple dog for my 06 from another 06 owner who sold his truck. Ive already updated to the v2.3 from bd's website and was wondering if there was anything else i needed to make sure of before i plugged it into my truck since it was previously on another truck? Thanks guys.

Also, does anyone have the instructions? Bullydog's website has them but the link is no good. I know its just plug it in and follow the prompts but is there a certain position the key needs to be in? I really cant wait to try this thing out.

Once you plug it in and select the proper engine Cummins 5.9L and select either download, read DTCs, etc. it will prompt you when to turn the key to "on" or "off".

Well i installed it. I like it so far. I loaded the Peformance setting and can definately tell a differance from my 65hp Quad. It definately smokes a whole lot more than the Quad does. Im tempted to try the Extreme setting, its just the normal Extreme not the CL version. Do you think my clutch would take it or would it fry it? I wouldnt run it alot, just try it a couple times.

Install a thermocouple in the exhaust manifold for EGT reading if you haven't already done so.

The tranny and TC can handle quite a bit, but if you give it hell all the time you will pay the price. Especially foot to the boards on standing starts. Any time you add a significant horsepower upgrade in ANYTHING sooner or later it will find the weakest link and break it. If you use common sense, you shouldn't have to worry about it.

Edit: Clutch....again....if you do a lot of standing launches full power launches you clutch will let you know pretty quick.

The triple dog alone is enough to slip a stock clutch, on the extreme setting. So start saving you $$$ for a clutch especially if you are stacking a BDDL and a XTZ. I believe the XTZ is a pressure box also, so be carefull stacking those two. I have heard of people blowing fuel components from that same stack.
