Analog boost gauge install

Hey guys I need some help. I've bought an Autometer 60# boost gauge and it comes with the tubing for connection into a ferrel fitting at the gauge and a "t" fitting on the engine. My 2005 2500 doesn't have any vacuum lines that I can see. My truck has the CFM+ intake elbow with a location for a boost gauge all ready to drill out and use. Now with all that being said, the question is, what size connector and type connector do I get? I know very little about "pipe thread" fitting names and sizes. Thanks for any help provided.

Autometer usually uses 1/8" NPT (pipe thread) fittings. It should say in the intructions.

Instead of drilling and tapping your manifold you can get a "boost bolt" from Geno's or Diesel Manor. That will replace an intake manifold bolt and give you an 1/8" NPT port on top for your gauge. Doing it this way is much easier than removing, drilling, tapping, and reinstalling the intake horn. I've also read that the intake manifold is a much better place to monitor boost than the intake horn.

Thats what I did, the boost bolt works great...

I learned the putting a couple zip ties on hose at fitting. Man first time I hit throttle hit 34 psi then nothing. Dang hose blow off at the intake talk about a whistle.
