It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Air filters
Don't want to start a war here, but would like to have the opinions of the folks that have after market air filters. Been reading recently that there is a new type of paper filter for the stock air box, so want to know if that filter is any better than any of the after market paper or oil type filters. Need to know the comparisons between performance and air filtration.
Bottom line, which is the best air filter type and brand and exactly why?

The stock intake is good till around 500 HP. The stock air filter or one of those 6" deep pelted paper filters, those filter the air the best. Why people put aftermarket intakes or air filters on their trucks only to get a lower quality of air filtration is beyond me.

I ran a BHAF for a long time. Flow a bit more air than the stock filter. I'm now running a Volant in place of the BHAF. It is a Donaldson honeycomb design. I don,t have the part # handy. This thing is a lot smaller than the BHAF and flows a lot more air. It can be vacuumed out. Supposedly is good for 150,000 miles. Volant had some specs on their website. I've been happy with it.
