Air dog

I'm new at the whole diesel truck game. I have a couple questions about them. I have a 06 dodge 2500 with a 5.9 and I'm looking to buy air dog off someone that bought one and didn't need it because it was his ecm.it was for a 03 would it work ?

I can't say for air dog, I have the fass and as far as the pump it should work but you will need to drop the tank on your truck to remove the factory pump. I think you will have in install a draw staw on the 06. The 03 the pump was on the factory filter housing. Someone who has an air dog may can give you some better info.

If your in tank pump is working fine, leave it alone for now.

The airdog has reliability issues. They used to be sold in the online store here. They stopped due to too many warranty claims from failing units.

Your 06 has a pretty stout in tank pump. I would recommend additional filtering. There are a couple of options at substantially less cost than a aftermarket lift pump.

About 8 months ago I replaced my AirDog with a FASS as the dog died. Had it about 8 years or so. The FASS was easier to mount the system than the older AirDog but that may or may not be the case now. After seeing that the AirDogs had problems wish I had stayed a bit more active and current on here.
