air dog 150 help!
I'm getting ready to start the install and I have some questions. What did you guys do with the stock fuel pump? I'm also a little worried about the draw straw.

Draw straw is easy... Pull the stock sending unit, drill a hole for the draw straw (be careful that a lot of the filings don't fall into the tank), put the nut on the bottom and slide the drawstraw through it, then tighten it... Its that simple. You can leave the stock fuel pump, just cut the wires so its not pumping anymore, the drawstraw makes it obsolete.

pull the bed and install youre drawstraw and return fuel back to the canister..if you dont you will be dealing with sucking air low fuel issues like most guys are dealing with on here...I did it to my 03..no problems...u just need to bypass the stock drawstraw

As for drilling the tank it is not that big of a deal, if you chose to drop the tank mark where the straps go and where the bed supports are before you drop the tank. Set the tank on some 4x4's or bricks where the straps go to get it up off the ground so that it sags like if the straps were holding it. Pick a spot where nothing will be in the way of the pick-up tube and start drilling. I always try to hold a cup in the tank where the hole will be to catch any pieces that might fall in so that you do not have to fish them out of the fuel.
Here is where my pick-up is for my FP gauge. I did drill and tap the fitting/elbow myself, just an FYI.

Mine is still sitting on the side of the block and in the tank. The 06 has the pump in the tank, not on the back of the fuel filter housing. Just make sure that you disconect the power line to the stocker and plug the lines to the CP3, you will still need to use the stock fuel filter housing for the fuel return unless you buy the block off plate. I used my stocker power wire as the trigger wire for my AD so that it was key hot only.

I just installed my airdog 150 on monday in my 04.5. I drilled a hole on the flat part near the canister hole.. i didnt really want to drill a hole in my tank but... and as far as the drawstraw, we just cut a little bit off at a time until we got it right, mine touches the bottom of the tank just a little bit and then i cut it at an angle to where there is like a 1/4-1/2 in gap to be able to suck fuel... I had the fuel light come on last night and was reading 36 miles DTE on the overhead and tried goosing it a couple time to see if it would cut out and it never did.... I am installing a FP gauge when my free Cobalt autometers come in..... I just unplugged the stock fuel pump under the hood and left the rest of it at the tank plugged in so IF something happens to the AirDog.. i can just take the fitting off the CP3 to the AirDog and hook the stock line back up plug the OEM pump back in and be back in business

I got everything hooked up and on and have been running it for a week now. The only thing that it does that is wierd is it will go to 16 psi then down to 13 or 14 then climb back up the spike down? It doesn't have anything to do with the tank cuz it will do that at idle. It's very quiet and made my engine run a lot quieter also. Thanks for the help guys

According to your mods. There is no need for a 150 unless you have got a retro fitted in tank pump. So with that said before opening or anything contact us. I can fix you up with an exchange for a 100. Unless you plan on going over 600 hp!!
