the drop in won't flow more air unless you swiss cheese the airbox. if you do that, I am not sure.

I went from the AFE drop-in w/ swiss cheese airbox to the BHAF and can't say I've noticed any difference but the BHAF sure looks much cooler!!

I think you will only find opinion on this (no real facts). I went BHAF because my factory filter got dirty really fast. I think it is because you are moving so much air volume across a little surface. Also after owning K/N filters (on my jeeps) I am never able to get them cleaned and oiled properly. So it is a BHAF for me and it even has a 1 years warranty??? ...

I think the PG would help but you will probably have to open up the air box, with my set up I can go back to stock in about 5 minutes if needed.

Good luck,
Dave

Thanks, I have a 4 in. hole in the bottom of the air box with a outside clothes dryer vent sceen in it to keep mon ant objects. I had read about the BHAF and was curious abolut how it would compare there are alot of different opinions on the drop in filters.

Try PMing AKRAM. He started a topic about a year or so ago where they were discussing air filter flow rates and honestly it got way too technical for me but there was a lot of info that will answer your question....

I just dropped in a PG-7 this week. I will be interested to see if it makes any difference. I went with it because AFE shows it to flow a little better than stock paper yet clean as well as paper (or better). Time will tell!

BHAF all the way. Nothing filters better than paper, and the BHAF has alot of surface area. Plus, the BHAF is only like $45 and should be good for at least 50K miles
