Advice for boost bolt location

I've seen some have drilled and tapped the intake horn, and others tapped into somewhere around the injector lines.
Can someone give me advice on the cleanest easist location
to get boost measurments for my boost gauge.

pyro and trans temp location are already picked out.

Also, best place to tap into 12v switched power to light up
my gauges

Thank you

Thanks, I've seen your pics for the relocation of HVAC. Nice job Dude !. I guess you added a new one for the boost bolt location.
That is perfect, I will do the same. So you removed one bolt that
mounts the intake horn and replaced it with your boost bolt.
Any special sealant required? and did you use standard teflon tape to seal the threads ?

About the headlight for switched/dimmed power source. How did
you access the harness? What color wire did you splice into ?
Where did you get the black harness sleeve on your boost line ?
Also, how did you prevent chips entering the turbo when drilling
and tapping for your pyro ?

Thank you

I did the same as medicshawn. Your guage should have some instructions on the install. Mine came with the boost bolt....

No directions came with the boost bolt at all. I did get directions
with the gauges but they are generic except for the Dodge cubby mount bezel.
Just trying to get a little more info before I start.
Thanks

The intake bolt directly under the #1,2 injector plug will work fine.Don't try to test it in the shop as a running load will build boost, not a fast engine rpm.

Make sure you put a tie wrap on the hose because it will blow off with your first trip down the road. Also do the same on the guage side because it's even more of a pain to fix if it pops off...

While we're asking questions, let me add another.

How do you get the hoses and wires from the engine compartment into the cab so you can hook them up to the gauges? I think I remember something about going through the rubber that's around the steering column? Is this even close?

If you have an auto trans its easy, dont know if this Firewall plug is used on standard trans. On auto it is plastic plug that is held in place with two nuts. Simple to take off and drill what ever size hole is necessary.
