Boost bolt location???

I am going to be installing my boost gauge as soon as it gets here(on back order) The diagram from diesel manor show which bolt to replace with the boost bolt. My question is, can I use any of the other bolts that hold the manifold on? There are other bolts that are easier to get at and would rather use those than the one they have pictured. If I can use any of the other bolts will I get a different reading from the one diesel manor shows to replace?

As long as it is in the intake, I don't think it matter where. Mine wasn't in the pictured location.

you don't have to use a boost bolt, take the intake horn off and drill and tap your intake horn and install supplied fitting from your gauge.

The bolts closer to the left side of the truck go right through the head, so it needs to be one of the bolts closer to the head. It dosent matter which one you use, just as long as its reading boost.

Isn't there a gasket under the intake horn? Is it reusable?

Not reuseable, not in my case anyway, i just installed my CFM+ this morning and both the stockers tore and was tough to clean up. Cummins glues them on and their really hard to get off. They should have just glued one side but in my case they did both. Im sure their inexpensive, run to cummins first then start your project. IMO

Here's where I put mine, not where the instructions told me to.. But it works fine and was easier to get at. It's been there for 3 years.

Best of luck to you with your install.

they don't glue them on, it is the metallic graphite material because the grid heater is grounded thru the gasket (at least the 06-newer are), Mine came up without tearing and was able to reuse them

For $13 and a lot less time the boost bolt is much easier and I dont have to scrape any gaskets.

So any of the manifold bolts that are closest to the head will work? Anybody have any pics of their boost bolt locations other than the one diesel manor shows. Thanks for all your help and advice....

Don't know where Diesel Manor suggests, but as stated any inside bolt should work the same. Here is where mine is.

Diesel manor suggests the next bolt back, but it is a little harder to get to. I didn't know if you would get different readings in differnt locations. I think I will put mine where Blackjeep has his.

This is where Diesel Manor suggests and where I put mine. I didn't have that much trouble putting mine there. I guess it could be a little easier to put on another bolt, but this one works good for me.
