Acceleration Question.
First off, I'm still new to this world of diesels. Here's the scenerio; I pull out of a parking lot (after I started up and let her run for 3-4 min., just got off work at 11:30 p.m.) and proceeded to squeeze the throttle to about 1/4-1/2 throttle and it seems that there is hesitation AFTER the trans. hit 2nd, I glance at the egt's which are only hitting close to 1150*(defuel set at 1350*). I guess I'm asking is this normal, for the hesitation?? I have the pmt on extreeme (not cl yet). It seems like it's defuelling or not getting enough fuel. I only have 2500-2800 miles on the new ATS trans., line press. at idle 80psi(??) and 120psi at wot(??) (I have to check my records) The boost was up to about 35psi. I hit close to 35-40 mph. I lifted alittle and reapplied throttle (I'm a drag racer, when the car feels alittle out of shape and using that techneque gets the tires replanted-peddeling) the truck responded to that and took off. Again, is there supposed to be a 'hesitation' or am I using the throttle too much too soon with out really spooling up the turbo. Oh, I have a wastegate fooler and that's set on 4 out 5 setting, 5 being closed most of the time if not all the time. If some one could clear this up for me, I'd appreciate it. If I left some info. out, let me know. Thanks.
Okay, the same scenerio but with the PMT returned to stock. The truck still hesitates after shifting to 2nd (20-30mph) When I get past that 'spot', she runs fine. I ran it up to 80 mph, running good. BIG diff. without the PMT downloaded. I'm thinking that the fuel filter is illminated also the injectors, if either one of those was 'bad' it wouldn't dissappear after the 'spot', would it??

For the ones that read the previous thread and don't respond, thanks for the help. Why didn't someone at least give their opinion on this?? I joined this forum for the knowledge that most people have and yet no one helped me at all. In a couple of other threads I had, THANKS to those guys for their input.
I found out what the problem was on my own.

In my short time on this site, people don't give opinions, just facts from the problems they have came across.
If you have came up with a solution to a problem, don't hesitate to talk about because you may help other people who come across this very situation in the future.
I haven't had a problem like this, so I don't want to lead you down the wrong path. Sure I'm speaking for more than one person.

Your problem is a common one on 2005's. Mine does the same exact thing. In second it seems to slip or hesitate. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is a band adjustment that you can do internally to the transmission. The band internally is loose. Mine has done it since I got it at 39k. Now has 62k. The band adjustment is a temp. fix because it will become loose again.
