Torque & acceleration after 2000 rpm
I've got one of those "reassure the first-time diesel owner" questions -- still trying to "feel" through the differences between the CTD and the gassers I've owned.

I'm running the '02 ETH/6spd with 3.54 gears, an Edge Pulse, pump wire unpinned, RV275 injectors, BHAF, and 4 inch exhaust -- and gauges.

I know that peak torque is reached around 1400 RPM and plateaus after that -- but my sense is that I've got more acceleration and torque from 1400-2000 RPM, and significantly less after that, in all gears.

A diagnostic indicates that the Edge is working fine, my boost gauge shows no issues -- wastgate has been closed -- and the fuel pressure is 16 psi at idle and 11 at WOT. No codes.

Do I need to find something better to worry about?

Thanks -- GP

Re:Torque & acceleration after 2000 rpm
Horse power keeps rising with rpms...torque will rise level and begin to fall with rpms....the sweet spot is with hp and torque close together 17-2000 rpms

Re:Torque & acceleration after 2000 rpm
After taking noumours test rides, I think it's a lot easier to feel power mods on an auto because you don't have to let off the throttle when it shifts. Of course I HAVE ridden with people who DON'T let off when they shift, and it's just like trying to ride a bull i think.
Want to feel the torque? Get some EDM's form J.R. Adkins or some BD 8's
