6 speed 0-60mph times
I was bored today so I decided to see if I could set a new record on my attitude now that I have a clutch which will hold. I ran a couple 6.8s and squeaked out one 6.5 sec run. I am wondering what everyone else with a hand shaker is running.
Try videotaping your speedo and tach while doing a 0-60mph run. You can play the video back on your computer and use the time counter on the bottom to see the exact 0-60mph time.
I have some videos on my old 0-60 tests on here somewhere, but that's with an auto not a 6spd.

X2 on that. I took the time to tune the tire size calibration to my GPS to help with accuracy but even at the track, it would read up to 1/2 second faster in the 1/4 than what I was actually running. When I would use the numbers listed for tire sizes in the Edge book it would easily be 1 sec or more off.

For accuracy, you'd need real-time input of the tire's effective rolling diameter; you can set it exactly at a steady-state speed for a particular tire pressure and load, but accelerating through the quarter will change the tire's actual rolling diameter quite a bit due to centrifugal force... ever watch the tires on a dyno closely?
Yeah my juice is way off, I do the 1/4 mile test launch in 2nd 4x4. When I get done I look at the speedo and it is at 100mph. Then the juice tells me I ran a 16.8 at 94mph??? I don't think those monitors are accurate at all.
I stay away from those things. I was helping out at Overnite Trans. one time and a tire blew on the dyno. There is way to many if's when running equipment on the dyno to be lolly-gagging around and get taken out by a part with a lot of energy behind it.
