Weird boost issue

Ok, heres whats happening. Sometimes when i am cruising down the highway (65mph) and floor it, my boost only gets to about 30 psi and then my egts start climbing pretty high. After I had first installed the XZT I could get it to hit 42 really easy.

Now what is really strange is that it only does it some of the time. i can floor it and it won't build more than 30 psi, then i will try again in 30 seconds, and it will build to 42-43 no problem and my EGT's stay low. If I set the XZT to level 1 or 2 it will build boost no problem and be consistent, but soon as I put it on 3 it really struggles to get above 30.

Is this a sign of a larger problem, or could it be a problem with my XZT? I am kind of hoping somebody else has had this issue or can give me an idea on what to do?

Rail pressure stays ok, Fuel pressure drops to about 1 under hard accreleration, but it did that from when I first installed it until now, which is about a year, maybe a bit more.

Put a clamp on the hose going to the waste gate actuator. It may be a bad waste gate activation solenoid.

Does the Quad box de-fuel when it senses a slipping transmission?....Just a thought, but something you need to know (before things get expensive).

I had the same problem out of my 06 and it was the waste gate actuator. I clamped it off and had all kinds of power

I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, work has been crazy busy, but the way it does it sometimes, and then it is fine for a while, then acts up again makes me think the suggestion about the wastegate could be the problem.

The only thing I don't understand is why it would be worse when the XZT is on #3 compared to when it is on #1 or #2?

Yeah, it does boost fooling. For some reason, it has been working fine all day, lots of power, boost builds quick. I am going to check that waste gate as soon as possible though.
