6" Lift Pic's with Tires and rims

I am getting a 6" Lift installed next monday and I was curiuous what size of tire you guys are running and are you getting any life out of them?? I am trying to finish off my 33" pro comp's and have been looking into new tires here in a month or so. Also what size do you guys reccomend. I have 373 gears and would like to run 37's in a mud-terrain or all-terrain! Is there any rubbing with 37's or should I go to 35's. Thanks fellas!! If you have any pic's that would be great!

I have a 6" lift and running 35's, 4.5" bs on my rims. I clear them with room to spare. See my gallery.
I went with 35's instead of 37's due to having an automatic. I didn't loose too much low end power, but with 37's I think I would have lost a lot.
Is your truck an auto or 6 speed?
Also what size rims are you going with?

My buddy has a 6" lift and he can't clear his 37's. They are 14.5" wide though. He's had to cut part of the back of the fender and put a ranchhand bumper on the front to help clear them. Still can't do a complete turn though.

You'd be fine havinig a 6" lift w/ 37's. My father has a 6" Tuff Country lift w/ 37" Toyo M/T's. It lost a little power but his chip, intake & exaust made up for that 10 fold.

I have a 4" Tuff Country lift on mine w/ 35" Toyo M/T's. Tires ride great and work like dogs in the mud/snow or any other application. I have pics in my gallery(It wasen't lifted then, i'll update them later).

Lift

Thanks fellas!! I am thinking about going with the toyo mt's they seen to be extremely popular. What kind of miledge are you getting out of them? Also can I keep my stock rim?? I am not much of a bling bling person, no offense, but I like the stock rims on my dodge! I will try and get some pic's up later this week. Also it sound like my chip, exhaust and intake will make up for the power loss on the tire size! Shane

37x13.50R17 is the size you want in the toyo's. I know a guy with this setup 6" stock wheels 37's tires.. don't have a pic though. I like aftermarket wheels better but to each there own.

if you keep the stock wheels 37's will clear easy. I have 9.5 wide rims and I don't rub at all. you could even go 38's if you wanted to on the stock rim.

I tryed to get in touch with camotanker to see how he fit 40/22/15.50s under a 6" tuff country but I had know luck. crashcade has a really nice looking setup. He has a 6" lift with the 2" leveling spacers and 37s I don't know how wide his wheel is or if he put the leveling spacer on there due to rubbing. He may have just wanted to level the ride out. It looks good though. If anyone knows what size wheel and tire he has please post it.

Don't see how you guys are having problem with the 37s on a 6" lift. I have 35s on mine stock, no lift, no spacers...no rubbing.

I'm guessing it has to do with the wheel width and back spacing you're running?

Theres a truck with a 6 inch lift sittin on 40-15.5 toyo mt/s. I would think 37's would fit with no problem. Don't know how to post pictures, search Camotanker, his truck is sweet.

it is all about backspacing and wheel width. if you are runing 40's you are doing it on a narrow rim with stock backspacing. you mess with that at all it it will rub at lock articutlated. no to some people some rubbing at articulation is acceptable but to me it just isn't.

my 37's on a 9.5 rim with 5.5 backspacing don't rub at 6" but 40's would.

so it is really about combination.

37" Nittos.

My buddy is running 37" Nitto Tera Grapplers or whatever they're called with a superlift 6" lift. No rubbing and I think he's got over 30K miles on them now with still some life to go. He burned through GY MT/R's like no tomorrow (about 15K miles per set). He runs 18" rims.

I am running 37's on 10 inch wide wheels with 4.5 inches of backspacing, with only a 4.5 inch lift. They clear fine.

Please do not buy a Superlift or Tuff Country 6 inch lift. Get the BDS.
