I have never driven one of these trucks with an After Market turbo. Just curious if he was talking about spool up time (I didn't think that turbo was quite that big either), or maybe something else? thanks for the reply.

I drive it everyday but it can be a pain in the rear. its meant to get out and go. on the interstate it does great. in town the boost gauge barely moves
Answer away my friend!!! You know how it is to drive tooo!! He is correct it takes 12 pounds of boose to get that beast to light but once it does you'd better be ready!!! Which is right at 1900 rpm's.. With a turbo that large it the tranny has to keep the torque converter locked to keep the rpm's up that high.. If I kept it in o/d lockout it was awesome but anything else was a lot of strain on the tranny and motor to keep it there and if it got bogged down it took a lot to get it back up there.. Not that I dis like the turbo if I was pulling or racing OMG!!! It is insane!!!

Kevin, I got Nathan Wright's Kit.. He is only 1-1/2 hours away and I figure If I need help that's as good as it gets!! One heck of a nice guy! His instructions aren't too hot but he told me he is working on that and should have them done this week but he did give me some really good pic's of an installed set so pic's are always good for me!!! It uses the stocker on top and a 80 MM B4 on bottom... He said it should be a bit better than the 5k along but towing will be a dream!!! So hurrry up and get here Friday because all teardown begins!!!! I hate making a living with my truck!!!

i'm guessing that the lag on the silverbullet is not that big or am i way off? reading the previous posts says that towing gonna be an issue with certain setups (obviously BIG turbos) and would that be the same with this one? is the twin turbo setup good just for top end power or does it help the bottom too? not too familiar on them and learning tons as i go. also, if i need 550 just once in a while, would propane or nitrous be a better choice then such a big turbo?

thanks once again.

I hit 548 with listed mods. No stacking, No drugs, No extreme tuning
