Well after all the games high tech is sending me a new acuater as for mine is bad. I put a plug in the compressor where the hose was and i am consistantly hitting 52 53 55 psi of boost so the actuater is bad because with the rod cranked all the way i only get 42psi. Since I hafta pull the turbo back out I need to know how to take drain tube out of the block and put it on the turbo before it goes back in. the help would be great

Pull upward on the drain tube. It just pops out. There's nothing holding it in. I didn't believe so at first either.

When you pull the manifold bolts out and get it disattached from the down pipe it will pull right out unlike the 03-04 trucks they have hose clamps holding them in. That oil return line is only held on to the turbo with 2 10mm bolts tricky to get to with socket without a swivle but a ratchet wrench works well. I believe 9 times outta 10 the gasket sticks to the turbo so in that case if the one on your stocker isnt their dodge parts department is calling your name.

The drain tube is held in by 2 o-rings. It is a pain but it will come out with a little pressure. Going back in, same thing. If you have the inner plastic fender removed then you can pry your hand between the turbo and the drain tube for extra leverage and force it down in there. When it goes you'll know it. I just got my 62/71/13 ss on this weekend. I only drove it a little yesterday but saw boost over 40 with the Hot juice on level 6. I didn't pay too much attention though. Cruising at 65 I saw EGT at ~700 with 1 PSI. About the same as my HTB2 but a little cooler on the EGT for some reason. Seems to spool the same if not a little quicker too. Again, not sure why. That may change when I put on the higher flow Donaldson. The Donaldson I have on there now is not the 535 it's the 100465 and I lost HP with it on the dyno so the flow and EGT will change a little I think. I'll keep an eye on the actuator but don't seem to have a problem right now.

I'm in the same situation, I have a boost elbow and can get way over 40PSI with it crsanked in, but I don't like the surge when there finaly is enough air volume to open the waste gate. I have done 2.5 turns on the actuator and now I'm only up to 38 PSI. I want 45PSI not sure if the actuator has enough thread left on it. I'm doing all this with a custom (heated and butchered wrench) that I can get in there with the turbo on the truck. It's getting to be really hard to turn any more.

I'll have to see about fabing up a wrench to make it easier. 42 psi is all i get! And my rod is extremly hard to turn as well. jrussel said he was going to try scarry larry to see if it helps. Until I get my new actuater I might take boost elbow out and cap it becuase I can see up to 52psi with vise grips on the hose I guess when i pull the turbo back out I wil just have too jerk on the drain line. Just can't believe that's how it comes out
