best street clutch for 550hp?

I was thinking south bend 3250dd sprung hub but i dont know how many buttons to get 12 or 6? My buddy got 6 and his clutch is borderline annoying grabby I was wondering if the 12 wouldnt be as bad?

550 hp... for street with out beeing grabby, ofe.... if your guna pull, well then double disk it.
the ofe is way under rated. do a good break in and it holds alot. dont break it in , it'll glaze and a stock motor will slip it....

What do you have to do to break it in? take it easy for a couple hundred miles?

12 button for street; 6 button for dragstrip. OFE would feel more like stock and like gus said, will probably do the job. I am already used to my 3250 dd, not like stock of course of course, but not too grabby to me. Call Peter at South Bend and do what he tells you. My opinion anyway.

I heard centerforce is coming out with a high hp single for diesels. Something like 1200 hp. Just heard a few bits and pieces about it. Anyone know anything about this.

If backing up 42,000 pounds is considered a big load all I can say is my SB DD 3600 clutch has no problums at all. For me it is a habit to put it in low range when backing even when I had the stock clutch.

I have an OFE and it holds everything I have thrown at it! And it shifts better than stock in my case!

I can slip my new FE at will with the TST/Smarty stack so I ordered a DD. I would recommend go for the best you can afford. I wish I had.
Good luck,
