Not really, the TH mode advances the governor pressure faster in relation to the APPS position so you get more positive and later shifts along with 2nd gera lockup. The advanced gov pressure gives the lockup a better and faster apply. The gov pressure solenoid and transducer not working correctly will cause many problems in cluding the shuttle shift and intermittent OD. Just depends on when it is failing to respond to the ECU signals.

My o/d has a brain of it's own,it goes in and out when it wants to,maybe b/c of a defective gov pressure solenoid.

has anyone fixed the o/d problem by replacing the gov pressure solenoid & switch?
