I have an 06 w/edge w/attitude on it and it seems to be cutting out under hard acceleration. The computer was updated once since i had the edge installed, for no/hard starts, could this be part of the problem? I have never noticed it before, however i have noticed under medium to hard acceleration a slight surge in power. It has been really noticeable lately, especially in 4th gear for some reason if you step on it, it will cut out a couple of times before it takes off. Anyone?

I know a guy with a 06 6speed and edge, who has had the latest flashes and his still does it too...I told him I have not heard much about that problem nor have I had it(no edge on mine tho)..he said he called edge and they told him his edge module might be bad???? but I have not talked to him since....so I cant help to much other then to let you know you are not the only one.

I have a 06 2500 4x4 meg cab 5.9 auto trans . I was going on here to list just what you did. I am haveing the same problem and i just got my chip back from edge today . What do you know it is still doing it if i try to pull my tralier it is really bad.I am going to call edge back tomorrow and give them hell maybe if we let them know that we are haveing the problem. They might do a little more to help us . They told me mine was the first to have this problem .

Did you guys just check to make sure your edge isnt set to defuel at too low of boost? With the edge since it boost fools, I have seen 41ish PSI on mine. But really no more than that.

How early are your trucks? Build date that is. When i bought my feb. 06 i got the edge and it did it also. They had a few versions out for the the truck already and maybe you jus got one of the weird ones. But they shoulda got that fixed by now. Also if maybe your a june build date the edge wont work either.

ever since they got bought out by MSD they seem to be backsliding. Ive had 3 diff moduals, 1 A2 mon and 1 back up camera in the last 4 mons. But ive yet to have the same problem. Mine have all been shutting down or locking up. Software problems, not cool on my truck, i could accept it on my laptop.

Is your truck an 06 or 06.5? I know Edge makes different chips for the different years. A guy I know bought an Edge Juice/Aatitude and the shop put an 06 chip on his 06.5; he has had problems ever since and ended up trading the truck in. Just thought I'd ask.....

I KNOW from experience that the 06 will not work on trucks built 06/2006 and later. They are considered 06.5 trucks and take a different box. When dealing with them, let them know the build date of your truck.

do you have an fuel or rail presure gauge?
like stated above could be programming also. I have an 06.5 noone can seems to get the programming right on a fueling box I feel your pain. the smarty runs great though.

Mine should be an early 06 as i bought it in Dec. of 05 and had been on the lot for at least a couple of weeks. I know the edge is working as i can definately feel a difference in power, and have picked up a few mpg (also have been running it for about 20k now) but just noticed the cutting out thing. Will contact edge and see what they think, i thought maybe when they reflashed or updated the computer that maybe the edge was not communicating with the new update correctly?? just a thought, who knows.

I just realized i am in need of a new fuel filter as it has 33k on it now, and last changed at 16k, do you guys think my filter could have enough crap in it to be partially blocking the flow of fuel when i have the edge on. It does not cut out if i put it stock mode, program one-some, program 2-quite a bit, and the other programs, don't really know as i dont use them, i use it for towing and better fuel economy, not to make a race car out of it. Will be changing as soon as i get a chance, we'll see if that solves it, just curious what you guys thought?

No problems here, but my build date is before 6/06. If you're having problems just call Edge, in my experience their customer service is second to none!! They've always been great about solving any problems very quickly!!

Ive kind of noticed that but ONLY when on level 3 and up. You can definetly feel it like at around 70mph in level 5 and goes on for like a few seconds between 70-75 and then it goes away.

mine started doing this and i changed the fuel filter and now its runs perfect. i even got a 0148 code. i guess it was just a bad tank of fuel and/or dirty filter
