06 seats

As most of you know the 06 cloth seats are bad. I don't have any kids just myself, wife, and 74# yellow lab named Cotton that rides in the back seat. I seem to spill more coffee in the morning than I thought, my seats look bad. OK so here is the question, for Christmas should I go with Wet Okle (sp)or leather like Katzkins or others of e-bay. Please give me personal opinions if you have them. I hunt and fish quite a bit and the dog rides in back with me. Dang Labs shed alot. Thanks Brad

I would go Wet Okole personally. I did a leather install on my megacab last year.

1. It was a lot of work
2. The leather is higher maintenance
3. Your dog will probably scratch/tear the leather
4. Leather is cold up here w/o heaters

The Wet Okoles are a seat cover so they can be removed and cleaned. I think they would also help the seat be more comfortable by softening the hard seams and front edge on the factory seats.

Just my opinion. Here's a nickel...

Although the Katzkins are bitchin, I don't think they are right for you. Sounds like you'd be better off with a Wet Okole type cover. I can't remember the name of them but Costco or Sams Club sells some on their web page that are virtually the same, cost less, are fully customizable, and according to member on this site that have bought them, fit and look great.

I read where the neoprene is not too resistant to dog claws though....

That being said, I would STILL get them (or the Costco ones that people have reviewed on here) over any other style/brand.

I've had the Factory Dodge seat coves on 2 rigs so far. Very durable and easy clean. They fit well on both front and back.

I have 20K on my truck. With 3 kids they all ready look like the dirt under a bush next to a roller coaster exit.

I think water even makes spots on it. After my son did some quality vomiting on the back seat, I am just letting it look like some weird, custom camo.

That's pretty much what mine look like. The upholstery on these trucks sucks. I'm waiting for my 4-yr old to get a little older than Katzkins are going on. I may order the Costco covers until then.

I guess they started with the 07s then. I haven't spilled anything on my seats except maybe a little water so I can't say how well it works.

Well just dripping water on the '06 seats will stain them. So cleaning them is darn near impossible.

I put the wet okoles in a few months ago and they are very nice. Fit great and no more worries.

I have the coverkings I bought them through Costco and they are returnable only through Costco. If you by them through the Cover king website and make a mistake to bad they are custom made. Any way the are great the fit and finish is good. The grey didn't quite match the grey in the truck. After a year I had a bit of fraying and took them back to Costco for an instant refund no questions asked. I bought another set only all black this time.
