My dad wants something to let his truck breathe a lil bit. Would the muffler that came with my Magnaflow 4" exhaust be worth putting on there?

Herrin821, any noticeable difference in performance/mileage w/ your BHAF & MBRP Muffler?

if it's straight, it will offset the tip under the bed a bit, and make it resonate.

grab a "3A racing" 4 to 5 inch tip at Pep Boys for $42, and that should get it out past the bed.

but yes, it should work great.

roan,

Take a look at the MBRP replacement muffler, it has welded hangers and an S pipe to make the factory pipes line up correctly instead of angling the muffler liek you wree asking about on the Magnaflow. Check and see if he has a resonator just after the muffler on the stock system. If he doesn't then the MBRP muffler will bolt right on, if he does have the resonator he'll have to bend the welded hangers on the MBRP replacement muffler to compensate for the change in the resonator location etc. Sounds great and if he keeps the factory cat keeps the volume way down except when he flat foots the go pedal!

that Tip from Pep Boys (or any tip) should fix you right up.

one local parts shop sells hollow 2.5 inch to 4 inch tips, you could just cut the end off, and slip it on.
