What To Look For When Buying This 2007

Well I finally found a 07 quad cab with an A6 tranny. What are some stuff that I should look for before driving this thing off the lot?

I already plan on a smarty, !dpf and !egr thanks to this board.

Anything else I should be aware of or check out?

Latest flashes are done to the ECM. Many problems with the early 07's required numerous flashes and in some cases replaced ECM's. Also check to see if the turbo has been replaced/flushed.

how do i check for the latest ecm flash? I read on the forum to look for the a 'new' sticker under the hood. Is that the only way?

what does it mean if the turbo has been replaced or flushed?
it has 33k miles on it

The latest flash could be done by taking it to the dealer (if you can) and get them to bring you up the latest version.

Early versions of the turbochargers had issues with the slide nozzle and got upgraded to a new one. If it has been flushed it will have a small pipe plug installed in the housing just behind the oil inlet. There is a flushing procedure in the wiki..

Try to get it updated before you buy it. Otherwise, they're going to charge you $85 just to hook the thing up and about $100-200 per update they install. On the other hand, if a malfunction occurs that can be remedied by an update, any existing warranty will cover the cost of everything. At least, this is what I was told yesterday by the local dealership when I took my truck in just to check for updates. I believe I'll just wait until something goes wrong.
