What did you pay for your new truck?
Dad's 2007 5.9 2500, they took $10000+ off sticker. I've been shopping the Austin area, and they'll take 10-$12000 off sticker all day long, if you don't have a trade that's great, they did try screwing me pretty good on my trade at $15000-19000 trade in.
I'll muddy the water a little.
I bought my 3500 Cab/Chassis single cab off of Ebay from a dealer in NC.
Got it for $26,500 but had to add a $3,500 Hauler Bed
when I got it home. Also added two hitches and 50 gal aux tank
Keep in mind that this truck was bought for a no frills work
truck. Not even cruise control and has rubber floor mats, non electric
windows, basic AM/FM radio w/CD, etc etc. I added cruise myself for $100.
I would buy the same way if I had it to do over except I would go get the truck myself.
I paid $500 for overnight delivery which took 6 days. I tried
to get a refund, or break, on the $500 from the dealer but the blame game started,,,dealer vs hauler broker,, and I'm the one that ended up taking a beating. I can easily say I lost a couple of thousand $$ in lost revenue for the late delivery.
But as far as the sale, the dealer handled the financing with Chrysler Corp at a good interest rate and all I ever had to do was answer my phone from time to time to expedite things. I owe no allegence to that dealer and probably wouldn't buy from him again because of the delivery snafu but the sale itself was smooth as glass. But I would look into buying from another dealer off the www.
I hate the proverbial hassle of buying off a lot from the typical salesman. I aint good at it. I tried it with two local dealers in my hometown and one dealer about 100 miles up the road before doing the ebay thing.
All that said, I'm sure you want a nicer truck but you may want to check
into the internet route for the truck you need before you make a decision.
Ordinarliy I don't recommend anything, not even resteraunts or movies but
I would suggest to atleast looking into buying off the www.

Hey your signiture says you have already got your truck, if that is true I am glad for you . If not, try Bellevue Dodge, that is where I got my truck(2500 6.7 Big Horn with just a few options other than what is included in the Big Horn package). The truck listed for ~ 45800 (don't have the window sticker with me). I financed it for 41,000, including the all inclusive extended warranty, which is around 3500.00. I checked the invoice for the truck on KBB and it was ~ 41,000, so without the extended warranty it was ~ 38,000-39,000. They also threw in a free spray in bed liner (~500.00 value). I just told them up front that I was buying a new Dodge and that I have never paid over invoice on a vehicle and wasn't going to start now. The best thing was they were not pushy, I looked around at other dealers and did a lot of research on the 6.7 before I bought the truck, about 2 months went by before I bought the truck. They would give me a call once a week or two and see if I was still looking, but never were pushy. Give them a try and ask for Clance or Andrew, they are the ones that helped me, tell them Brian from MO sent you.
