What the "click"?

Here's a new one...Jumped in the truck yesterday after having it sit for 14 hours at work, temp about 23. Hadn't done anything except open the door and sit down. From under the dash drivers side I hear a repetitive click about once per second. It wasn't the 4-ways, no lights inside or out flashing, no key in ignition, just me sitting there scratching my head. After about a minute it quit.

No indications of anything wrong after it quit and I started the truck and no repeat today.

Any good guesses on what it was?

If it was below freezing and you were sitting in it with the door open, is there a chance that what you heard was the control arms on the drivers side "creeping" a bit with the change in weight when you got in?
