Tow Package?

I am looking at several faxes sent over from my dealer of 2500 Mega Cabs with the 6.7L Engine. I have the details on 10 trucks right in front of me and none of the printouts mention anything about a Trailer Tow Group. Are the Trailer Hitch Receiver and 7 Pin Plug included with these trucks, or is it a separate package? When I try to build a Diesel Mega Cab on Dodge's website, it won't let me select the two package, but it will let me do it with a Quad Cab. Do they all have the Tow Haul mode? These are the only questions keeping me from getting this truck.

That's what I thought. I didn't want him to do a dealer trade just to find out that it didn't have everything I want. Thanks.

I factory ordered a 3500 Quad Cab SLT which is supposed to arrive the first week of May. The tow group was optional and I had to order it separately. The three letter code was AHC.

I have a Quad Cab Larmie on order and the order code is like FishOn said it is AHC on the order as I have it in front of me, and I like you tried to build it on the web site and it was a NO GO on the Trailer Tow Group as well. I will say if it is not on the print outs then, NO Trailer Tow Group.

Like Fish and Tank above I also have a 2007 Dodge 3500 Laramie Quad Cab on order. My order clearly lists "AHC Trailer Tow Group".

Also before I ordered I looked online at various Dodge dealers inventory and could also look at window stickers - one of which I printed out and kept - Under options it lists "Trailer Tow Group: Class IV Hitch Receiver, 7 Pin Wiring Harness".

Note at a MSRP of $275 and FWP of $242 its hard to imagine they would build one without this option.

My code was missing too and my salesguy said the trailer option is standard now. I have proof too. I drove my new truck home yesterday with a tow package and it is not on my option list.

I looked a little closer. Even though it was not an option when I tried to build a truck online, it did show "Trailer Tow Group" listed under standard features when I printed the vehicle summary. Maybe it is standard on the Mega Cab. The sheets I got from the dealer do not list standard features. They only list a general description and options. The one Quad Cab he sent me did have it listed as an option.

For what it's worth I bought a 2006 that came from the factory without a trailer hitch and with a "flat" light duty trailer wire connection. I made them put at hitch and seven pin plug on before I bought it. Don't take anything for granted.

Trailer tow is standard on 2500/3500 Mega cabs, optional on 2500/3500 quad and regular cabs.
