Torque Convertor Lock-Up

I just bought a new 07 Ram 5.9 w/auto. Is there any way to get the convertor to go into the lock-up mode a little earlier then the factory setting? I asked the service writer at my dealership and was told that they could not reprogram the ECM. I had the ECM reprogramed to compensate for the 295/70-17 tires I put on. I have to go about 51mph before the convertor locks up. The transmission shifts into fourth gear just a notch about 40mph under a light load.

Thanks for any input.

Sorry, I just noticed that I should have posted this in a different area.

My 03 47RE shifts into OD at 42 to 44 mph, I wished it would hold 3rd gear lockup up to at least 50mph but it don't. Usually driving in town were the speed limit is 40 to 45 mph I will usually turn off the OD and drive in direct. Also when pulling a load I'll usually start out with OD off and when I get on the highway and get to rolling and terrian is right for OD I'll switch it back on.

Use tow/haul mode. That'll make it lock up a lot quicker.

Thanks

Thanks for the tip to use the Tow/Haul mode, hought that it would just raise the shift points. I will try that around town because I don't like all the slippage in the torque convertor while driving around 45mph; I really don't know why Dodge put a "loose" convertor behind a high torque diesel engine.
