A question of engine weights

Tried doing a search but couldn't find what I want.
Currently, with my camper loaded my front axle weight weighs in at 5,160 lbs.
The axle rating is 5200 lbs.
Anyone know the difference in weight between my 5.9 and NV5600 vs. the 6.7 and 68RE?
Thanks.

The new engine is probably 50-70lbs heavier than the 5.9.
The old automatic 48re was around 200+lbs where as the nv5600 is 360lbs. Lets just say the new 68re is another 50lbs.....
It kinda looks like everything is equaling out.

My opinions mixed with some knowledge.

Don't know about the 6.7, but I have read somewhere recently that 5.9 weighs around 1100 lbs. There was an article about swapping diesels, and they had various engines - mostly GM. Supposedly new duramax weighs at 860 lbs.

I estimate a 6.7 weight to be 1249 lbs

(1100/5.9)x6.7=1249 lbs - hope this helps

Don't forget all the extra emissions bs. And I don't think that would be an accurate assumption because the displacement of the engine is just that, the empty space inside the cylinder.

I think they were including the "extra emissions bs" in their estimates that the engine would be heavier.
