I forgot to mention the OD switch on the shifter stalk. It is a push button and when you push it once 6th lock out, second push 5th locks out so you are 1:1 in 4th. The third push puts you back in normal mode. I'm not too crazy about having to cycle all the way through to get back to normal mode. I was going up a long hill and thought I would drop it into 5th for a little more pull. That worked great and the motor was happy with a little more rpm's. But then I had to go down to 4th before I could go back to 6th at the top of the hill. I was going 60 mph by then and the motor kinda wound out in 4th. Nowheres near redline but it is noticable because the motor usually is running nice low rpms.

I may have to take another test drive to be sure I didn't miss something.

I agree with you about having to go into 4th before going back into 6th. It is the only thing I dislike about the truck and Aisin transmission.

Check the rear tire pressure...they are probly at 70 psi.
They should not be anywhere near that high empty.
My 2500 rides like crap with 70 psi in the back...rides real nice with 40 psi empty.
Check the pressure/load chart that comes with the truck and inflate accordingly...I think you will find that this will improve the ride.
In fact I should have bought a SRW 3500 but thoght it road too hard...when I should have checked the tire pressure.
Not a big deal for me since I don't tow heavy...but definatelly something to consider.

The big question on any new ride is, "WOTTLESHEEEEDOOOO?"
