how long will it take?

just curious as to any of you that have ordered a truck, how long did it take to come in??? the dealer says 5-6 weeks, but I wanted to get some real world time frames!!! LOL I think it took my dad's 04' around 3 months, & a friend of mine ordered an 03' that took more than 13 weeks??? any ideas as to how long I'll be waiting? & will my new truck be the 350 hp engine like I was told? I think I read somewhere that DC may have ditched the 350 hp idea & that they were all gona be 305 hp for awhile??? thanks, Dusty

The 305HP is for the C&C, but the 350HP is still on for the 2500 and 3500 trucks as far as I know.

If you do not order any options that are on restriction, you should excpect about 8 weeks. I would not plan a cross country family vacation on day 57 that depends on this truck thought!

They did not start building them until this week and some options are on restriction, but not many as I remember. So really your 8 week clock does not begin until now.

well how can I find out what options will slow down the process???? also now on the Dodge.com website they're showing 325hp for the 6.7L or is that the hp rating for the auto???? I could've sworn that I was told the 6spd. C&C trucks that were built after 01/01/07 were to be 350 hp & 650 ft.lb's????? may be my imagination, but I hope it is 350hp when it gets here!!!!! thanks, Dusty

On the 2500/3500
The following options and option combinations are on restriction:
LT265/70R17E Black Sidewall On/Off Road Tires (TXE) - 12/11/06 (2500 models)
6.7 Liter Cummins Turbo Diesel Engine (ETJ) - 01/15/07 - (01/22/07 on 2500 4X4 models)
5.9 Liter High Output Cummins Turbo Diesel Engine (ETG) and Underground Calibration (NBA) - 02/07/07
6.7 Liter Cummins Turbo Diesel Engine (ETJ) and Delete Pickup Box (XBC) - 03/05/07 - (Ram 3500 models)/indefinite - (Ram 2500 models)

On the C&C

The following options are on restriction:
220 AMP Alternator (BAJ) - 12/13/06
Power Take Off (LBN) and 6 Speed Automatic Transmission (DG3) - 02/12/07
Single Rear Wheel Group (AR9) in combination with Heavy Duty Front Springs (SKS or SKT) – 03/01/07

As I understand it. the C & C will be 305 with either transmission, the 6 speed will be 325 and the 6speed auto will be 350

well, luckily I didn't order any of the options on restriction, so do you think I'll see it in around 8 weeks????? the 8 week mark is what I was shooting for as the earliest I'd see it, & my bed should be in at about the same time, so that'll be nice!! thanks, Dusty

I have now way of knowing, but guess you should get it in about 8 weeks if you start counting on Jan 15th when the build resumed.
