When I had my 04 2500 I put a 4" hole and hose in the bottom to draw extra air from behind the bumper and it seemed to work well. Now I have an 08 3500 and am wondering if it is advantagous to do this simple and cheap mod. All negative and positive responses welcomed.

I think it will do you the same amount of good. I have considered doing this but if I do I will find a spare airbox to butcher up since Dodge is getting so tough on us doing any kind of mods to these trucks....

Thanks, I to was going to look for the spare air box for exactly the same reason. With the situation the big 3 are in right now they will try to save money anywhere, especially on our warranties.

The 5.9 and 6.7 airbox bases look exactly the same. That should make it easier to find one.
Warranty? I doubt I have one anymore but I still worry about losing it!! I think maybe I have already lost it!!
