Saving injectors on a 6.7... Install inline Fuel Filter or Prep System?
I currently have 4500 miles on my 6.7L that I got less than 2 weeks ago. I will be keeping this truck for 100K+ miles most likely, so I want to keep the injectors in good shape.
What do you think would be more worthwhile, installing an inline 3 micron filter/water separator system and leaving the stock pump in the tank, or installing the draw straw and install a Fuel Preporator, with pump, and filters?
Are the in-tank pumps in the 6.7 still a POS?
I am a bit leery on putting the draw-straw in my brand new truck as I don't want to have issues when parking on a hill when I'm low on fuel.'
Lets hear it.

I've had spin-on FleetGuard dryer and FleetGuard 2 micron filter mounted inside the frame rail in front of the tank since the day I brought mine home. I would not trust my CP3 and injectors to the stock 7 micron filter/dryer. I still have the stock lift pump though with no troubles, but I only have 10K on the truck. A friend of mine has all the emissions equipment deleted, MP-8, and Edge w/attitude. With Edge on 5 and MP-8 at 100% the stock lift pump still barely keeps up. I think if you plan on doing mod’s it wouldn’t be a bad idea to install a FASS or Air Dog lift pump filter/dryer set-up.
