question on 6.7 fan clutch

I’ve got a couple of questions
1st is the fan clutch on a 2009 electric?
2nd if the clutch goes out do they go out on an intermittent basis.
I am having some AC problems and took it in to the dealer, and explained everything that was happening and how to duplicate the problem.
Two days latter the dealer calls me and said that they could not find anything wrong .So I go to pick the truck up and the AC will not cool down the air from the vents less than 80deg. After I show them the problem they are now telling me the electric fan clutch is out and will need to be replaced.
This is all fine and good everyone screws up , but I need my truck so I would like to hurry them along .

electric-yes
possible intermittent condition- yes

probably goes to open when it gets hot and shuts off.

This thing goes back to the dealer on Monday for the fan clutch replacement, but looking at it I don’t see any wires at all. Everything looks like the old stile temp sensitive fan clutch.
Also one other question where do the wires plug in at (what is it that tells the fan to come on and go off).
I’ve seen (worked on and replaced, along with fix the air lines) the air actuated fan clutches but have not dealt with the electric.
thanks for the info

They come out the front of the clutch and run down a metal tube to the bottom of the engine. Crawl under, can't miss them. That's where they do on my truck. The fan clutches have been electic since 03'.
