Oil leak from extra dipstick port??

So as the title says I have a massive oil leak from what looks to be where the dipstick tube would be on a front sump pan. I needed to remove the ecm to get the plug that blew out out and examine where it came from. So my question is has anyone had this happen on a bluetec 6.7? If so how'd you fix it being how the plug is crushed to the size it needs to be and offers no resistance to coming back out?

This may be of no value whatsoever but on my 01 I put in a fleet guard enviroguard system (it got rid of the blow by oil catch bottle from the open crankcase ventilation and dumped the separated oil back into the pan. It used the other dipstick port as its entry point. Getting the plug out was a pita mostly due to available space for tools etc (it was really just like a small freeze plug) down there but the new thing that went in was just a pressure fit if I recall ie a tube with a couple rubber orings and flair or two on it, never came out even after 200k miles after I put in, in fact it is still there today. The plug that came out was tapered and was obviously pressed in. It was shaped like a small metal hat that was tapered with a lip around it. the plug with the lip was maybe 1/2 or 9/16 inch diameter but the plug itself was more like 5/16 maybe 3/8.. I know my little finger would not go in the hole. If I recall when pulling it out once I got it about halfway out it came loose and pulled right out. If yours is the same kind of thing as long as you can hit it squarely it should go right in. However being 9 or so years different, a multitude of engine changes and differences over the years may make my experience totally mute.

It sounds the same as what I have, but all I have to put back in was the plug itself... I'm just wondering if it will hold

Like maybe grease on a tap to catch the fillings? I would just worry about metal in the pan.

I personally would not be trying to thread that. Only take one shaving in there to potentially totally hose you. I would just get a new plug and drive it in.
