Oh MAN!! My first oil leak!!!

I noticed i got some oil on the back side of my oil pan. Might be rear main or oil pan?? Not sure. Please tell me that the new motors are not like the old 12v when everytime you get one leak fix, another pops up??

I don't know where your oil filter is, but on mine, if you're not real careful oil will run down and look like an oil leak.

Mine is leaking there too, well actually it shows up on the inspection cover of the tranny. The bolts on my oil pan were loose, but re-torqing them didn't help. It's not from the blow-by tube either. It annoys me too, but not enough to fix it.

Gentlemen, an oil leak must be of sufficient quantity to actually form a droplet and hit the ground.

What you have is oil seepage, not leakage.

And besides, a CTD does not leak, it marks it territory.

I also have noticed this same leak. At first I thought it was from the blow by but while installing my new trans cover I noticed it was on the back of the oil pan between the trans and the engine. Anyone know more please chime in. I am about to bring it in. Cement driveway doesn't like it too much

Took mine in about two weeks ago and they told me what I thought they were going to say blow by out the crankcase. My dealer seems to be pretty good so keep an eye on it and take it in if it gets worse. I dont know about you guys but I am not using any oil.

I think ya'll are worried about nothing. My blow-by tube sprays a little oil on my oil pan and trans housing in the same place you are describing. Mine doesn't leak any on the ground though and the oil level is always full even after 5k miles (my oil change interval).

I just wipe it off the oil pan every once in a while, usually at oil change time.

I had the same thing what I thought was oil film on the tranny cover plate.took it in and they said it was tranny fluid.they had to pull the tranny and replace some seals.will get it back today and see what the paper work says and let you know.
