Thumbs down Not impressed with 6.7

We have a 6.7 with about 12,000 kms, and 2 5.9 with 25,000kms. So far on the 6.7 it has broke the front axle at the knuckle on the passenger side. When I took it for a drive, it had a weird whistle at idle and no power. With the 1st 5.9 we cant keep a torque converter in it, and the 2nd 5.9 the wiring harness for the lights is always burning out. I don't know if these truck where built on a mon or fri, but they aren't very impressive.

U read my mind. I'm picking up a 08 ford with 6" lift and 37's tommorow. Imo the interior on the dodge looks cheap plastic like compared to the ford. The dodge handles easy, turns tight and rides smooth. The front ends dont last as long as the fords, but longer then chevs. Power wise when the dodge runs, the power is snappy and firm shift. On the ford the power is smooth and shifts arent as harsh. Chev is same as the ford power wise. Thats what I have found out so far.

Sound like you need to buy a power joke if the dodge is so junky.

You came on a Dodge site. Blasted the new truck and old truck.

Sooooo, what kind of help do you want from us? Everyone here is glad to help when they can. We can tell you if it is a common problem or not a common problem. I am just amazed at all the whinning and complaining sometimes. It's not just on here, it can be a Ford site, a Chevy site, a horse site, horse trailer site, and the list goes on.

Go buy what you want. Ford or Chevy. Nobody cares. If you want insite on why you are breaking parts or what may be the possible cause then ask. Don't whine and complain.

That great, wonderful, cushy Phordd interior should come in handy while you're waiting for Ye Olde Phordd Roadside Assistance to haul your '08 back to the Phordd Shoppe.

I've had to wait 3 times in 6 months for roadside assistance with my 5.9.

I meant the ford and chev are the same because how smooth the power comes on. So I guess thats a trannie issue.

I'm not whining about the product, I'm just telling u my experence. I know people that have 5.9s and they are happier then a pig in edited by admin. If my 5.9 didn't have a weak trq converter I would be happy to. But in no way am I whining about how the product performs.

I have no problem going over to the ford site saying they the ford rides like a lumber wagon, because it does. I was just comparing everything. I did point out the good and bad points about all 3 models.

If u dont agree about my good bad points tell me where I'm wrong.

Interior: 1.ford 2.chev 3.dodge
Engine: 1.chev 2.dodge 3.ford
Tranny 1.chev 2.ford 3.dodge
Front end 1.ford 2.dodge 3. chev
Ride 1.Chev 2.dodge 3.ford
Looks 1.dodge 2.ford 3.chev
Driving manners 1.dodge 2.chev 3.ford

So if u count them all up, it all comes down to personal preference. Every truck has it high and low point.

I know what you mean...
I absolutely loved my last truck, which was a Chevy 1500, but it wasn't very capable in the towing of the camper we purchased. I was really looking more towards upgrading to a 2003 Powerstroke. I have a couple friends with that truck and I really liked the power, but the asking price for those trucks were insane. I wound up at Dodge and am pretty happy all in all, even though it's had me on the side of the road once. But it's a great tow vehicle, and it's growing on me in other ways too!
