Looking to buy

I am looking at an 07 3500 non dually. It has 40000 kilometers on it and looks clean. I am wondering if any body can give me some good insight on this. I presently have a 95 5.9 2500 reg cab great truck. only probem is it is reg cab need the extra seats now Grand Children. On this forum I see lots of issues with the 6.7. What Maint. issues are there and what is stock mileage. And does any body use them for lower mileage driving with some high mileage with camper or trailer.

Hey beaner...

I can't help you on the 6.7, I didn't buy one for a reason

Find a '06 or '07 MegaCab...

You and your grandchildren will love it...

The 6.7s are great for power and comfort BUT mileage stinks especially if you are going from a 12 valve into a 6.7. You would probably get 12-13 city and 16-18 hwy and 9-10 towing or hauling. I deleted stuff on mine and my mileage went way up to 16-17 city but towing still stinks at around 9-10 mpg. It pulled 12,000 lbs around for the last two days with ease though...

On the other hand, my 07 5.9 with G56 transmission only got 14 city 18 hwy and 10 towing. That is with 32000 miles on it too...

I've had very few problems with mine and most were a few engine lights early on but after 40K miles it's been a great truck. The Megacab is wonderful for families.
