Sorry, the link does not put speculation to rest! They are talking heavy duty, over the road trucks, not light duty trucks like ours. The concept is the close to the same, but definitily not the same. One does not have to remove the DPF or NoX filter to get them serviced, it even gives milage - 200,00 to 400,00 miles! On light duty trucks such as ours, 200,00 to 400,00 miles the truck will be gone! Or at best the exhuast would have been changed!!

Like I said before, the overhead console will tell you when the filter reaches 80% full and it does chime at you also. It has happened to me on my C&C, maybe your trucks are different?

I'd put my stock 6.7 up against your stock 5.9 any day - I've done it several times and kicked the rattlin' 5.9's butt everytime! I'm always up for a race!!

Ummmm, let me think about it for less than half a second...OK, anytime anyplace. That there is pretty funny. Bring another truck though, because I'm not towing that 6.7 to the local dealer for a cat or DPF cleaning. My truck rolls a little coal and since that's all your truck is going to be sucking in, I'm sure it'll need service after the race

I'm really not trying to dog the 6.7s, but w/ all the crap tied up to them, I think it might be a while before the bugs are worked out. I've driven 3 6.7s looking for my new 5.9, and I must say I'm trying real hard to be impressed, but it's just not happening. Maybe I need to drive a C&C w/o a bed on it w/ the other tranny, it might go and shift a little better.

By the way on that race, I'll have to leave in my turbo and tranny mods, but that's only fair right w/ all those extra gears and high tech componentry you have

Ha ha, leave the turbo & tranny mods in, you're gonna need em'. I too have dissapointed a couple 5.9's. Also, and I like this better, my Stud took care of a new f450 6.ohno with both of us towing 5th wheels. Mine was 2k lbs. heavier. But the best part was he asked me to do it as he just came from a 06 Duratrash and wanted to see what his new Ferd would do against my 07 Dodge. Only sad part was I could'nt "smoke" him, just watched him fade away in the right side mirror!!

Those northern 6.7s must be stronger than our southern 6.7s! Let's not turn this into some stupid battle, we all know what engine has been proven and which one is a unknown.

Just curious, how does the DPF fit into the emissions warranty? Is it for the life of the vehicle, or does it end at a definitive point in time/mileage?
