high idle for 6.7
The 6.7 autos both C&C and p/ups have it available.............I have enabled it on both.Just as in previous models it is turned on with the cruise switch and adjusted with the rt hand switches.

Mine is not enabled either. Guess that will be on the list for the first visit back to the dealer.
Also, had quickly read that you can get faster warmups with the exhaust brake. Haven't had time to read the manual yet about this. Anyone know??

I went to the dealer today and they turn mine high idle on for no charge. Do you think if you have to idle with the 6.7 and idle it up to 1500 rpm would be better than letting it idle at 800 rpms?
Had my high idle enabled by the dealer. Mine only works in Park. On my 04.5 the high idle would work in both Park & Neutral. Can you get it to work in Neutral?? I used to use it in Neutral for warming up as I have read here that the 48re didn't circulate fluid in Park. Don't know about the new 6spd auto.
all the trucks(newer) have the automatic high idle when the coolant and outdoor temps are lower than 38*.
the high idle that is being refered to is driver controllable. you can do it anytime the brake and throttle isnt being touched(manual trans) dont know if the auto's have to be in park or neutral.
allows idle speed to be adjusted from 750 to 1500 rpm. aids in warm up, prevent cylinder washing from extended 750rpm idles.
